APPLICATION FOR:
Chamber Choir & Choral Conducting Workshop
Applications and all support material must be received by the Norfolk Office on or before Friday, March 26, 2010.
The Yale Summer School of Music - Norfolk Chamber Music Festival Chamber Choir and Choral Conducting Workshop accepts applications from advanced singers and choral conductors. Participants are selected on the basis of ability and supporting materials.
All applicants must follow the procedures outlined below. Applicants will receive their results on or before April 30, 2010. Singers must submit a refundable deposit of $300 within ten days of acceptance to secure a place. Conductors are required to submit a non-refundable tuition fee of $500 within ten days of acceptance to secure a place.

RECORDING GUIDELINES
Singers and Conductors will audition for the Chamber Choir and Choral Conducting Workshop via recording only. Live auditions will not be held. Poor quality recordings will not be evaluated. DVDs will be given preference. Recordings in CD format will be considered. Mark both your recording and its case with your name, voice type and repertoire including specific movements. Recordings will not be returned.
REPERTOIRE
The works listed below are the recommended repertoire. Repertoire should demonstrate variety and flexibility. A recent recital DVD (preferred) or CD may be substituted if the program falls roughly within the guidelines listed below.
Singers:
Three selections from the oratorio and art song repertoire of contrasting style and language. One of these selections should be from the Renaissance and one from the Baroque period.
Choral Conductors:
DVD recording must contain a few minutes of both rehearsal and performance.

AFTER ACCEPTANCE
Singers: $300 Registration Fee (refundable)
Refundable upon completion of the program subject to deductions in the event of damage or loss to any property.
Choral Conductors: $500 Tuition Fee (non-refundable)

ACCEPTANCE
Candidates will be mailed notification of the outcome of their application on or before April 30, 2010. All fees must be paid by credit card within ten days of acceptance to secure a place.
