RECORDING GUIDELINES
Recordings are used to qualify applicants for a live audition. DVDs will be given preference. Recordings in CD format will be considered.
Recordings of poor quality will not be evaluated. Mark both recording and case with your name, instrument and repertoire including specific movements. Recordings will not be returned.
While it is possible for a DVD recording to replace a live audition, rarely do applicants to the Chamber Music Session audition successfully by DVD alone. You may supplement your application with additional support materials if you wish.
REPERTOIRE
The works listed below are recommended repertoire for both recordings and live auditions. Repertoire should demonstrate variety and flexibility. Where possible, include a sample of chamber music. A recent recital DVD (preferred) or CD may be substituted if the program falls roughly within the guidelines listed below. Please note that sight-reading may be requested at the live audition.
